Board Guests in Attendance

Scot Haan, CEO; Francine Miller, Secretary/Treasurer

Meeting Called to Order

6:54 PM with Pledge of Allegiance.

Chairman, John Pardue advised the purpose of the meeting was for a conditional use request of Denise Bennett, 1577 Newton Ransom Blvd. for a home-based pre- and post-natal massage and manicure and pedicure business. At which point, Pardue turned the meeting over to the Code Enforcement Officer, Scot Haan.

Haan stated that Mrs. Bennett came before the Planning Commission and after review of her information, had no issues with the proposed business. Mrs. Bennett will have massage therapy and a nail service. Haan inspected the house and found it adequate with bathroom facilities present and adequate parking. Mrs. Bennett stated that it will be by appointment only, no walk-ins. After some discussion, the hours of operation will be 9am to 9pm throughout the week with a maximum of four clients per day. Right now she will only have mostly evening hours during the week because she has a baby and her husband will need to be home from work to watch the baby. If a client can only make it during the day, she will contact her sister to baby-sit. After the Cosmetology Department inspects the home, they may require that she put up a sign. The sign will be within the Townships zoning of 2 square feet. Mrs. Bennett will work alone and not have any employees.

Motion by Koldjeski to grant the conditional use request of Denise Bennett of 1577 Newton Ransom Blvd. for a home based massage and nail service business operating Monday thru Friday 9am to 9pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 9pm with a maximum of four clients per day, 2nd by Martenson. Motion voted, all in favor.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:10 PM.

Respectfully submitted by Francine Miller.
