New Business
- Verdetto - Mr. & Mrs. Verdetto requested permission from the Supervisors to build a house on their property located at 2008 Port Royal Road while they live in their mobile home
on the same lot. The owners will sell the mobile home once the house is built and they move in. The Supervisors granted permission with a 180 day time limit. Before the time limit is up, if the
owners are not able to remove the mobile home, they will need to approach the Township again for an extension of time.
- Sal Pileggi - Mr. Pileggi approached the Board with subdivision plans for Wooded Lane Development that had been approved back in 1977. Each lot is ¾ of an acre with lots 1 & 2
having already been sold with eight remaining lots. The lots do not perc; therefore, Mr. Pileggi is in the process of planning a community sewage system and is working on Component #3. It was
decided that any improvements done to the development will now have to be done according to the current ordinances.
- SAPA - Lee Jamison was present to discuss the progress of SAPA and brought the six proposals received by interested planners. Two of the proposals are going to be interviewed by SAPA.
- Horse Show - The Newton Ransom Volunteer Fire Company’s annual horse show will be held Sunday, August 20, 2006 and Ralph Kettle would like to borrow the F550 to park and the horse
ring for the judge to sit in the back. Martenson will deliver and pick up the truck.
- Road Bids - Bids were opened and discussed. Bids have been tabled until Monday night’s meeting.
- CEO - Haan reported that there was an incident yesterday with an area excavating company trying to push him with the dirt with a bull dozer while he was there to shut the operation
down until all permits were taken care of by the property owner. The Township will send a letter to the excavating company to express our displeasure with their actions during and after the incident.
Haan also reported that he received a complaint that someone on Upper Maple Drive built an addition with no permit. The owner will come to the Township for permit applications. A complaint was also
received concerning a kennel in operation on Church Hill Road. Haan and Chief Reese will visit the kennel tomorrow.
