Meeting Called to Order

8:00 PM.

Reorganization Meeting of the Newton Township Auditors was called to order for its annual reorganization on January 3, 2007 at 8:00 P.M. It was determined there was a quorum present and confirmed the meeting was duly advertised.

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Wilbur Waltz with Carl Caswell and Lee Jamison being present. No one else attended.

Motion by Jamison to retain the same officers as 2006, 2nd by Caswell. Motion voted, all in favor. Officers being: Wilbur Waltz, Chairman; Carl Caswell, Vice-Chairman.

Motion by Caswell to give the roadmaster a $1 per hour wage increase based on the condition that the hours worked are to be approved by the Supervisors, if necessary, 2nd by Waltz. Motion voted, all in favor.

Auditors also agreed to request the minutes of this meeting be posted on the Newton Township website.

Auditors also request a copy of the Newton Township 2005 audit be made available for review and be forwarded to Wilbur Waltz.

Being no further business Jamison moved to adjourn, 2nd by Caswell.
