Meeting call to order

Approval of Minutes
Motion by Koldjeski to approve the minutes from the Work Session on 4/4/2007 as presented, 2nd by Pardue. Motion voted, all in favor.
Minutes from the General Meeting on 3/12/07 will be tabled until next month.
Announcements
Township office will be closed April 23, 24 and 25, 2007 for the convention and will be closed on Thursday, April 26, 2007 from 9:30am to ? for
Miller to attend a deposition. Again, the office will be closed Friday April 27, 2007 and Monday, April 30, 2007.
New Business
- Rotary - Mr. Mumford from the Abington Rotary Club came before the Supervisors for approval for a mass gathering permit for the annual
4th of July fireworks to be held on Saturday June 30, 2007 with a rain date of July 3, 2007. If the fireworks do not happen on June 30 a new certificate of
insurance will need to be presented to the Township. The current certificate expires at midnight on June 30. Motion by Koldjeski to approve the application
of the Abington Rotary and waive the mass gathering permit fee, 2nd by Pardue. Motion voted, all in favor.

POSTED - Planning Commission
Road Master
Supervisors decided to have their annual road inspection on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 6PM.
Wage Tax Collector
Sherman stated that she is fielding a lot of phone calls regarding the filing of wage tax now that half has to go to Abington Heights directly. Also, she requested
the Township put an ad in the paper stating the wage tax collectors will be available at the Township building on Monday, April 16, 2007 from 5-7PM to assist residents
with their wage taxes.
Planning Commission
Haan reported that the Commission recommended approval for the Rotary Club’s mass gathering permit and waiver of the fee. The Commission also discussed the sewage
treatment facility plans with Sal Pileggi and Mark Dieter. The Commission deemed the application incomplete.
SAPA
Koldjeski stated that their will be a meeting with the planners for the joint zoning with a Newton Township representative on April 12, 2007 at the South Abington Township building.
Recreation Center
Supervisors discussed their concerns with LaCoe regarding the boiler demolition. Motion by Pardue to give the work to Handyman Construction based on their doing the work in a timely
matter after the preschool is dismissed for the season, 2nd by Koldjeski. Motion voted, all in favor.
CEO Report
Haan stated that he is working with Horvath Communications who are looking into putting a cell tower up for Sprint to be located on the fire training grounds. He has also kept an eye on
the complaint that was received from Waste Management regarding a resident putting his business trash out for pick-up.
Solicitor Report
Sileo reported that there is no change in status from Hidden Valley and Milwaukee Cycle. He is working on the ordinances for the DROP program for the pension plans and should have them
ready for the next meeting. Reese, part of a bargaining unit, will have to sign off that he is in favor of this ordinance. In regards to Tobie Realty requesting to provide the Township
with sketch plans to move their project forward, Sileo states that the clock will not start with sketch plans and all engineer fees will need to be paid up front. The review by our engineer
will only be as detailed as the sketch plan.

Public Input
- Wilbur Waltz - 2311 Milwaukee Road questioned whether he will receive an answer to his complaint last month regarding the fence at 2313 Milwaukee Road. He also
questioned being charged for a copy of the 2005 audit. The audit was presented to Waltz at no charge due to his being an elected township auditor. Haan answered Waltz on his complaint
and recited sections of the Township ordinances that states the way the fence is situated on the property, it is legal. Waltz requested that the decision be presented to him in writing.
Bills were signed and discussed. Motion by Koldjeski to pay the bills for the Township as presented, 2nd by Pardue. Motion voted, all in favor. Motion by Pardue to pay the bills for the
Recreation Center as presented, 2nd by Koldjeski. Motion voted, all in favor.
Being no further public input and discussion, Koldjeski motioned to adjourn the meeting to an executive session, 2nd by Pardue. Motion voted, all in favor.
