New Business

  • OLS/St. Benedict’s Bazaar - Kevin Foley represented the church in requesting a mass gathering permit for the annual bazaar to be held August 2 – 4, 2007. Insurance is good until the end of July and a copy of the renewal will be sent once received. Motion by Raino to recommend the Supervisors grant the mass gathering permit and waive the fees as long as a sketch plan is presented along with the updated insurance, 2nd by Lilik. Motion voted, all in favor.
  • Eckel Subdivision - Keith Eckel presented a 3-lot subdivision on Falls Road. Motion by Raino to accept the plans and wait for responses from DEP and LCRPC, 2nd by Lilik. Motion voted, all in favor.
  • Cummings Subdivision - Mr. & Mrs. Cummings presented subdivision plans on Cummings Pond Road for a lot line adjustment and one lot. Motion by Holweg to accept the plans and wait for response from DEP and LCRPC, 2nd by Stemphoski. Motion voted, all in favor.
  • Grace Hill at Fords Lake Subdivision - Ned Slocum presented the plans for a seven lot subdivision on Fords Pond Road. Six of the lots will be sold with the remainder seventh lot not to be sold. Slocum will excuse himself as Township engineer. This plan is stamped as a final plan due to the fact that there is no infrastructure proposed. Developer is requesting waiver of Section 403.1A for plans to be to scale and Section 403.2Q for contour lines. Driveway permits have not been applied for by the developer. Motion by Lilik to accept the plans as preliminary and to send for review to the appropriate parties. Sewer modules are needed along with six driveway permits and final plans with contour lines to Township code, 2nd by Holweg. Motion voted all in favor, Parsells opposed.

Unfinished Business

  • Skatepark - Members of the Abington Skatepark Association were present to present amended plans to the Commission. Commission and Association reviewed the letter from Ned Slocum on his last review. The items still missing were the Highway Occupancy permit, the lease, E&S letter, and NPDES permit. A waiver is requested for the cross sections since the driveway will not be a road and they are waiting for the conservation district to sign off. Motion by Raino to recommend approval by the Supervisors when the items mentioned above are addressed, 2nd by Lilik. Motion voted, all in favor.

Public Input
None

Being no public input or further business, Lilik motioned to adjourn, 2nd by Holweg. Motion voted, all in favor. Meeting adjourned, 9:45PM.
