New Business
- Woodhaven Crest - Dennis Kooch and Gary Wilding from KBA Engineering came before the Commission to discuss a new idea they are working on and doing away with the Townhouse idea. The land would be divided into one-two acre lots. KBA is working on an agreement with Bill Morgan, owner of the property, to be co-owners to recoup money that is owed to them. Haan stated they need to put together a preliminary plan to be submitted and work on the perc sites, stating that the ordinance now is that there are two perc sites per lot required. KBA stated they will be digging perc holes next week.
- Our Lady of the Snows/St. Benedict Bazaar - Mass gathering permit was received by the Township secretary for the annual bazaar to be held August, 6, 7, and 8 with a request for waiver of the fee. Nothing has changed from previous years. Motion by Sartori to recommend approval and waive the fee as long as the insurance is in place and traffic control is set up with Chief Reese, 2nd by Raino. Motion voted, all in favor.
- Hrobuchak Subdivision - New plans were received showing the two perc sites required for each lot. Wetland delineation has been done. The setbacks written on the plans are incorrect and they say DER instead of DEP. Also, a note needs to be on the plans stating that access to the existing driveway will be permitted if a driveway permit cannot be received from PADOT. Motion by Parsells to accept the plans with the above changes to be made by Guy DeAngelo, 2nd by Lilik. Motion voted, all in favor. Hrobuchaks stated they would be contacting DeAngelo and have new plans to the Township tomorrow along with the necessary fees.
Unfinished Business
- Keisling Subdivision - DEP approval received. Haan stated plans need to be submitted to Ned Slocum for review.
- Thompson Subdivision - DEP approval received. Motion by Parsells to recommend approval to the Supervisors, 2nd by Raino. Motion voted, all in favor.
- Eckel Minor Subdivision - DEP stated that the test site on Lot #2 has to be done over and the new map presented is now accurate. Lilik motioned that the contingent approval granted by the Commission last month be rescinded because we have been provided with new plans and an alternate site, 2nd by Raino. Motion voted, all in favor. Motion by Sartori to accept new maps for the Keith Eckel minor subdivision on Orchard Drive, 2nd by Parsells. Motion voted, all in favor. Commission stated they will wait for DEP approval before a recommendation to the Supervisors to approve.
- Eckel Major Subdivision - The Commission reviewed comments received by Ned Slocum.
- Windtower Ordinance Amendments - Parsells stated that the ordinance now would have the tower at 45 dpm and the amendment is raising it to 50 plus move the tower closer to property lines. He believes that is make it worse and compounds the issue. The amendment changes the setback from 1500 feet to 900 feet. Haan stated that the applicant has the ability to apply for a variance for changing the setbacks. There was no problem with the 1500 foot setback at the time the first ordinance was sent to Sileo. He believes that affected people should have the most say in this. Motion by Raino that we make no changes on the existing ordinance because the existing ordinance allows changes if approved by affected property owners, 2nd by Lilik. Motion voted, all in favor, Haan abstained.
Public Input
None
Being no public input or further business, Raino motioned to adjourn, 2nd by Lilik. Motion voted, all in favor. Meeting adjourned, 9:50PM.
Respectfully submitted by Francine Miller.
